Original Terry Hecker Equine Art

About Terry Hecker

My art pieces happen from everything I see and create in all mediums. The horse and the human figure are my favorite subjects with music and dance to explore aliveness … movement, emotion and memories.

The past few years have been very exciting. My bronze sculpture HELLBENT was accepted by the America Academy of Equine Art, and a watercolor SUNSET OR RISE was chosen as the poster for Equitana's EqWest horse expo. My work has been seen in Equine Images Magazine, Riding Magazine, the new publication Equine Vision, The American Endurance Ride Conference, and the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento, CA. Recently Terry's art work has graced the East County Magazine.

I am collaborating with artist Luis Lima from Mexico whose work depicts the Brahma bull. His sculpture in bronze is very powerful. Pieces done with copper wire are very dramatic. Luis's work has been exhibited in prominent galleries and shows.

A quote from ballerina Sylvia Guillum keeps me motivated: "If you are born with a gift, you must work incredibly hard to nurture that gift."

And  a quote from Terry :

“I used to live in my Mind, but I Moved"
